A conclusion is the final paragraph of an academic text and usually serves two functions.
1.To summarise and bring together the main areas covered in the writing, which
might be called ‘looking back’.
2. To give a final comment or judgment on this. The final comment may also
include marking suggestion for improvement and speculating on future
directions.
